Obituary for Mary Hill Crawfo Sister

Mary Frances Hill "Sister" Crawford-- a native of Greensboro, AL., and a longtime resident of Mobile, born August 28, 1926 departed this life Sunday, September 21, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Crawford, parents, Thomas and Mary Frances Hill, two brothers, Clifford and Thomas Hill. She was a member of El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. A retired employee of James Strickland Youth Center and also a retiree of Carmen's Child Care Development Center after ten years of dedicated services. She leaves to cherish her memories six sons, John Hill, Edward, Ivan, Michael (LaTonya), Reginald (Margaret) and Demetrius (Darnisha) Crawford, two devoted daughters, Janice Woullard and Shelia Crawford, all of Mobile, three brothers, Syd Hill, Mobile, Mathis and Ernest Hill, both of Cleveland, OH., two sisters, Virginia Hill and Marie Chapman, both of Mobile, eighteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, September 26, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, September 27, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Rev. Johnathan Yates, pastor and officiating minister. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St Mobile AL 36605.
