Obituary for Matilda Harris-Champion

Matilda Harris "Tild" Champion 87-- a native of Mobile and a resident of Prichard, born December 24, 1919, departed this life peacefully, Monday, November 12, 2007 at a local Nursing facility surrouned by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Champion Sr., and son, Harry Blackwell Jr. She leaves to cherish her precious memories a son, Oscar Champion Jr., two daughters, Jeanette Hope, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, and Deloris (Rudolph) Hale, devoted aunt, Hattie Williams, both of Prichard, nine grands, twenty-one great- grands, two great, great-grands, extended family, George, Alice, Tom and Daivd Carwie, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, November 16, 2007 from 7-9pm and Saturday, November 17, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Walter Bracy , officiating, and Dr. Bobby J. Young, pastor. Interment Gethsemane, Mobile. ARRANGEMENTS BY SMALL'S MORTUARY, INC.
