Obituary for Meddie Ivory Clark

MEDDIE IVORY CLARK was born on June 10, 1953, in Chicago, IL, to Dorothy Clark Williams and Felton Clark. He is preceded in death by his father Felton Clark, his grandmother Rosetta King, and his aunt Eddie Lee Maze.



He was a graduate of Cregier Vocational School in Chicago IL, Class of 1971. Meddie furthered his education at the University of South Alabama where he received a BS Degree in Computer Science in 1980. Meddie enjoyed 36 years of service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.



Meddie Clark was united in holy matrimony to his Soulmate, Cathy English of Mobile, AL in 2008.



Meddie leaves to cherish his memory: a loving mother Dorothy Clark Williams of Chicago, IL; a loving and devoted wife Cathy English Clark of Mobile, AL; five children, Amanda (Archie) Hooper of Corpus Christi, TX; Rosalyn (Anthony) Moore of Mobile, AL; Damion (Jamie) Campbell of Chicago, IL; Tori Gandy of Mobile, AL; Carl Gandy Jr. of Mobile AL; thirteen beautiful grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie Clark of Chicago, IL; Dorothy Clark-Herndon of Chicago, IL; two loving aunts, Mattie Chandler; Lorraine Sykes; six devoted cousins, Tommie King; George King; Robert Sykes; James Chandler; Johnny Chandler; and James Sykes; one devoted brother-in-law, Leroy Hixon; one dedicated son-in-law, Anthony Moore; six dedicated friends, Maynard Odom; Wilbert Merriweather; Tommie Carlisle; Donald Dees; Ken Day; Guy Callier; a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins, along with many other relatives and friends. Meddie will be deeply missed by all but never forgotten.



His remains will lie in state on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 11am until the 1pm funeral hour at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 545 Cody Rd. Mobile, AL. Interment will be held in Chicago. IL.
