Melvin Carl Horton - A native and resident of Mobile was born August 18, 1942. He departed this life on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Cogburn Nursing Home. He is survived by his sister Margaret Horton Nixon. His nieces, nephews, two sister-in-laws and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2009 at Small's Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. funeral hour. Dr. Harold Tolliver officiating minister.
