Obituary for Mozelia Cottrell

Mozella Douglas Cottrell, age 74, of Daphne, AL., passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was a 1953 graduate of Baldwin County Training School and a faithful member of Mt. Aid Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and Daughter-in-law, Bryan (Janet) Cottrell of Daphne, AL.; a grandson, Chazdin Cottrell of Daphne, AL.; step-son, Kent (Debra) Cottrell of Loxley, AL.; three sisters, Anna Stamps (Harlteen) of Daphne, AL., Annice Conaway (Langdon) of Huntsville, AL., and Marian Starks (William) of Memphis, TN.; a brother, Moses Douglas (Verlin) of Upper Marlboro, MD.; two step-sisters, Joyce Young of Compton, CA. and Edith Schumacher of Detroit, MI.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 after 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at Mt. Aid Baptist Church, 9470 U.S. Highway 90, Daphne, AL. Rev. George Collins, pastor, and Rev. Ken Cottrell officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Mt. Aid Cemetery.
