Murlean Ward Davis Abrams was born May 19, 1937 in Morvin, AL. She was a resident of Mobile and departed this life on February 3, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Davis; her mother, Annie Kate Roberts and her husband, Enoch Davis. She leaves to cherish her memories, five devoted daughters, Debra Davis, Mobile, AL, Doris (Elton) Cummings, Damita Denise (Austin, Jr.) Stanciel, Delores Davis and Doretha (Derrick) Jackson, Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren, Danielle Jackson, Elton III, Elliott, and Ellis Cummings, Lawrenceville, GA; seven brothers, Charlie (Ida) Brackett, Prichard, AL, Herman Barren, Jr., Mobile, AL, Roy (Mercedes) Roberts, Indianapolis, IN, George Roberts, Arthur Roberts, Donald Roberts, Joliet, IL, and Gerald (Marie) Roberts, Providence, RI; five sisters, Julia (Sidney) Lankford, Prichard, AL, Nora (Rev. Monroe) Tucker, Atmore, AL Claretta Voss, Bolingbrook, IL, Minnie Woods, Joliet, IL, Virgie Thorn, Tega City, SC; five brother-in-laws, Charles Abrams, Willie (Debbie) Davis, Lavon (Emma) Davis of Mobile, AL, Charlie (Teresa) Davis, Atmore, AL, Andrew (Arecely) Davis, Austin, TX; five sister-in-laws, Allie B. Abrams, Emma Davis Prince, Virgie (Al) Thomas, Antionette (Wayne) Davis and Burnell (Terry) Raine of Mobile, AL, two devoted and special friends, Genie Abrams and Dorothy Barren, Mobile, AL; four godchildren, Irma Nicholson, Upper Marlboro, MD, Horatio Barren, Nashville, TN, Brandon Simmons, and Johnnille Barren, Mobile, AL; Pastor Julius Seals and the Macedonia Baptist Church Family and a host of relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Small's Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, AL.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 131 July Avenue, Prichard, from 9:00am until the 11:00am funeral hour. Pastor Julius Seals, Officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery located on Mobile Street.
