Obituary for Muzuri Pettway

Muzuri Harris Pettway-- 80 a lifelong resident of Mobile, departed this life Saturday, August 16, 2008 at a local hospital. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Pettway, Sr. daughter, Inez Pettway Pritchett. She leaves to cherish her memories four daughters, Sharon (Ray Charles) Gamble, Phyllis (Cleveland) Bell, Lisa Pettway and Melissa Bunn, adopted daughter, Diane Riley, all of Mobile. two sons, Michael (Mary) Pettway, Mobile and Broderick ( Rudy) Pettway, Jacksonville, FL., two stepsons, Rev. Thomas Pettway, Jr., Weatherfield, CT., and Jerry Lindsey, Mobile, two sisters, Addie Jones, Oklahoma City, OK., and Verneita Blunt, brother, Franklin Harris, both of Mobile, twenty-three grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, August 22, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, August 23, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 545 Cody Rd., Interment Lawn Haven Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile AL 36605.
