Obituary for Namon Peoples

Namon Peoples -- A native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Mobile born March 24, 1946 departed this life Sunday, March 9, 2008 at a local hospital. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Willie and Carrie Bell Peoples; three brothers, and three sisters. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Regenia (Darrion) Peoples Johnson, Angela Peoples-Caldwell; son, Vincent M. (Jewel) Peoples, all of Birmingham; devoted niece, Zelda, North Carolina; devoted friend, Ollie H. Howard, Mobile; two sisters, Ethel (Doll) Thigpen, Buffalo, NY., Nora (James) Drew, Detroit, MI.; seven grands; four adopted children, Diane Crenshaw, Cassandra (Orlando Sr.) Harvey, Eddie (Margene) Hosey Jr., all of Mobile, Shuna (Kevin) Harper, Mt. Holly, NC., seven adopted grands; adopted brother, David Williamson, Mobile; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, two devoted, Irma Moore and William "Bill" Johnson. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 1-8pm and Friday, March 14, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour, Rev. Nathaniel Dortch, officiating minister.
