Obituary for Nettie Cox

Ms. Nettie Rea Cox, a native of Coffeeville, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama born January 8, 1935 to Annie and Turner Cox departed this life on Sunday, September 20, 2009. She was a lifelong member of the Rock of Faith Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Jimmy Cox and John Cox both of Mobile, Alabama. One sister, Mary Cox Todd of Atlanta, Georgia. Three brothers, Elroy (Jeanette) Cox of Columbus, Georgia, Turner (Dorothy) Cox and Allen Cox all of Mobile, Alabama. One granddaughter, Carolyn Cox and two great granddaughters, Datona Fletcher and Schanavia Fletcher both of Mobile, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. One devoted friend, Burke Knight of Mobile, Alabama. Her remains will lie in state at Rock of Faith Baptist Church on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Coffeeville, Alabama with Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Martin, Officiating. Interment will follow at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
