Condolence: I was a student and friend of Mr. Chambers at Azalea Road MS. Norvie was a good teacher of history and an excellent teacher of life. Through my high school years, I often sought Norvie at Gayfers. I knew that he could give me the advice I needed to hear and not what I wanted to hear. I can truely say that I am a better person for having known Mr. Chambers. It is teachers and people like him that are the real heroes in this world. People who always take time to give to others unconditionally. "Doc" you are missed. Heaven is getting a good one. My condolunces to his family and his devoted wife Dorothy. May god bless and comfort all of you during this time.

Condolence: My heart is heavy to hear of the passing of Mr. Chambers. He was a special man indeed. As a student at Azalea Rd Middle (1976-1978) he was not only a great teacher (We hold these truths to be self evident)but a great mentor and man. I lost my father during those years and he was quick to give me a hug and tell me to keep my chin up. Thank you for the memories Mr. Chambers, Heaven is rejoicing.

Condolence: I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my father last year so I can understand your pain. Death is never easy to accept which is why it's called an enemy in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26. Jesus gave us a hope based on the Bible at John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." So, we will be able to see our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. At that time we will never have to lose them again. Why can we say that? Because God has promised us this in the Bible at such scriptures as Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 26:19, and Revelation 21:3-5. Isn't this good news? Please read these scriptures in your own Bible. Sincerely, Ms. Simmons
