Obituary for Ophelia Walker

Ophelia Smith Walker - a resident of Mobile, born to the late Mr. and Mrs.. Edward (Annie) Albritton January 14, 1915, departed this life Friday, January 12, 2007 at a local hospital. She was a faithful member of the Wilson Avenue Church of God until her illness. She was a noted pianist for over fifty years and a member of Circle #1 of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Sentenia Trotter, Barbara (Albert) Thomas; one son, LeBaron Smith all of Mobile, AL; six grandsons, Terry, Gregory, Michael (Carketta), Anthony (Katrina) Trotter; Edward, Jr. and Timothy Crawford; six granddaughters, Rachel Trotter, Karen Crawford, Chrysanthia (Darius) O'Cain, Latoria Smith, all of Mobile, Shawnna (Victor) Miller of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeneen Smith of Metarie, LA; and their mother, Frankie Fields (Thomas) Jackson of Mobile, AL; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends; a special friend, Ms. Yvette Hickenbottom. The family would like to thank the staff of Cogburn Health & Rehabilitation Center (Tuscaloosa St) for their care and support. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2007 at Small's Mortuary from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at the Wilson Avenue Church of God, 644 South Wilson Avenue, Prichard, AL. Rev. Mary Sims officiating pastor. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL.
