Obituary for Perry Davis

Perry James Davis-- a native of Suggsville, AL and a resident of Mobile, born May 9, 1936 departed this life Friday, July 17, 2009. A retiree of McConnell Cadillac after thirty-five years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Zeddie Davis, sister, Iola Bass, two brothers, Charlie and Bobby Davis. He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Gloria A. Kidd-Davis, eight children, Doris (Johnnie) Harris, Sharon (Nelson) Perkins and Larry Davis, all of Amityville, NY., Lora (Joseph) Mann, Columbus, GA., Rickey (Bobbie) Davis, Durham, NC., Timothy (Angela) Kidd, Anchorage, AK., LaShea (Anthony) Weatherspoon and Wanda Kidd, both of Mobile, seven brothers and four sisters, John (Louise) and Tom (Georgia) Davis, both of Dayton, OH., Retha (R.D.) Harper, Denver, CO., Ethel Thomas, Brooklyn, NY., George (Sonya) Davis, Columbus, GA., Christean Leggett, Huntsville, AL., Rev. Leroy (Alicia), Samuel, Jackie and Alvin (Odessa) Davis and Dorothy Dickinson, all of Mobile., brothers and sister-in-law, Alonzie Kidd, Willie Lee (Willie Mae) Kidd and Sadie Kimbrough, all of Wainwright, AL., Charles Kidd, Monroeville, AL., eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Speical thanks to Dr. Eyston Hunte and Southern Care Hospice His remainis will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, July 24, 2009 from 1-8pm and Saturday, July 25, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, 1759 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Dr. Rev. Clyde Maye Jr., Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Cedar Fork Cemetery, Suggsville, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 Broad St. Mobile, AL.
