Obituary for Phil Jackson Jr.

Mr. Phil Jackson, Jr. - was born to the late Mr. Phil Jackson, Sr. and Mrs. Frances Pritchett Jackson on April 17, 1916 in Choctaw County, Alabama. He departed this life on April 13, 2009 at a local hospital. He united in holy matrimony to the late Mrs. Eunice Collins Jackson in 1936. His Christian life began at an early age when he became a member of John the Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Revelation Baptist Church. He was also preceeded in death by his son Demmer Jackson. He leaves to cherish his love and memories always: One daughter Shirley (Walter) Hendricks. Two sons, Zinnonnon (Yvonne) Jackson and Jerome (Toletha) Jackson. One brother, Exell (Florence) Jackson; thirteen grandchildren, Rachel, Karen, Rosemarie, Jean, Jackie (Goodman), Philomena, Phil III, Keith (Michelle), Tiffany (Demarco), Thaddeus, precious, Myles and Kike; Fifthteen great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law Mary Jackson and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to devoted friends; Clarence Irby, Sr., Roderick (Vanessa) Coleman and E.V. Dumas, Sr. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday April 17, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday April 18, 2009 at the Revelation Baptist Church until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. with Rev. David Frazier pastor and officating minister. Interment will follow in the Pine Crest Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
