Obituary for Rebecca Abrams

Rebecca Dubose Abrams - a native of Yellow Pine, AL, and a resident of Mobile since the early '40's, born August 6, 1920 to the late Ms. Ida Mae Dubose, departed this life Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at a local hospital. She was employed by Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Cushing, Sr. for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-two years, Wilmer Abrams, Sr., their daughter, Karen Y. Abrams, grandsons, Darien and Deantwuan Abrams, two sisters, and three brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories, six children one devoted, Clarence (Laura), Wilmer Jr., Karl, William, Wendell (Sharon) Abrams, and Latasha (Donald) Abrams-Pettaway, all of Mobile. fourteen grands, twenty-six great grands, two great great grands, four sisters-in-law, Cleo (Robert) Weeks, Los Angeles, CA., Margaret Sisco and Eloise Abrams, both of Mobile, Ora Lee Dubose and Doris Moody, both of State Line, MS., a host of nieces, one devoted, Gladys Robinson, Los Angeles, CA, nephews, cousins, extended family, Dr. & Mrs. Frederick Cushing, Jr., Mobile and friends, seven very devoted Ms. Janie Seals, Mrs. Essie (Willie) Lewis, Ms. Lola Mae Wright, Ms. Emma Lucios, Ms. Lisa Harmon, Ms. Marlene Rasheed, Ms. Debra Moore and Mr. Wilmer Golston, Jr. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 from 1-8pm and Wednesday, July 11, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour St. Stephens A.M.E Church.
