Rebecca V. Bracey was born June 22, 1927 to the late Hubert Wilson and Amie Knight in Coy, Alabama and pass from Earth to Eternity on Saturday January 16, 2016 at a local hospital. Rebecca was a resident of Grand Bay, Alabama. Mrs. Rebecca had a special gift, she knew just what to do and say to make you laugh and to make you happy. She loved to sit out on her porch and appreciate the marvelous works of God. God endowed Mrs. Rebecca with a singing voice that touched the heart of many. She was a faithful reader of the Daily Bread. As a child she was baptized and united with Mt. Gilard Baptist Church of Coy, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Bracey Sr. of 60 years, one daughter Ivy McCall , one son Bernard Bracey, four grandchildren Antonio, Paul Jr., LeCedric , Lavenia and two great-great grands, Kenny and Alex. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Louis C.(Essie) Bracey Jr., Moss Point, Miss., Paul (Mary) Bracey, Mobile, Al. and Frank L. Bracey, Grand Bay, Al. Five daughters; Charlene Lark (Willie Farrell); Margaret Durgin, Rowena Edwards, all of Grand Bay, Al. Amie (Alfred) Ward, Saint Elmo, Al, and Deborah (Lloyd) Washington, Mobile Al., one sis-in-law; Josephine Jones, son-in-law; Leonard Edwards, 27 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, two god-children; Thadeus, and Timothy Dinkins and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Her remain will lie in state Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 12noon until the 2:00pm funeral hour Sweet Bethel Baptist Church, 8555 Sweet Bethel Dr. W, Coden, AL. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery. DIGNFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY 7000 BELLINGRATH ROAD THEODORE ALABAMA.
