Obituary for Revera McMillian

Mrs. Revera M. McMillan-- a native of Evergreen, AL. and a resident of Mobile born December 17, 1939 departed this life Monday, November 17, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Kennneth McMillan parents, Mr. & Mrs. Clifton (Jennie) Mixon, grandmother, Mrs. Mattie McFadden, two brothers, Mr. Nelson and Prince Mixon. She leaves to cherish her memories son, Mr. Kenyatta M. McMillan, six siblings, Mr. Milton (Alice) Mixon, Mr. Judge(Rosalyn) Mixon, Mr. Lindsey (Ida Mae) Mixon, Mrs. Florine (Willie) Rudolph, Mr. Hurley (Lucille) Mixon, and Mrs. Jensie Headley, aunt, Mrs. Genive "Ante Bob" Mixon, a large number of loving and devoted nieces, nephews, a number of loving and caring godchildren, Mrs. Karen Johnson (Norman) Pugh, Sgt. Christopher "Gerry" Pettway, Mr. Brandon Andrews, Mr. Delvin Washington, and Master Pierson Easter, a large number of loving and dedicated friends, Greater Nazaree Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. James A. Parrish Jr., pastor, Mobile Baptist Sunlight District Association, Women Convention, Rev. Dr. J. J. Phillips, Moderator, Mobile Baptist Sunlight District Congress of Christian Education, Dr. Walter G. Bracy, Dean, Dea. Jerry Cochran, President, Sis. Dorothy Hollins, caregiver, Mr. Calvin Rencher and his children, sis. Georgia O'Cain, sis, Cora Battles, sis Sharon Powell, sis. Love Wright, sis. Cecelia Perry and sis Nettie Curtis. a host of other relatives and friends, to numerous to name. In lieu of flowers the family request donation to the American Cancer Society 900 Western America Circle Ste. 101 Mobile, AL 36609. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 21, 2008 at 7PM at Greater Nazaree Missionary Baptist Church. Her remains will lie in state Saturday, November 22, 2008 after 10am until the 12noon funeral hour at the Sunlight District Auditorium, 700 Seminary St, Prichard, AL. Interment will follow in Mt.
