Obituary for Richard Lockett Jr.

Richard Brown Lockett Jr. was born September 3, 1951 in Chicago, IL. and passed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at a local hospital. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Richard and Vivian Lockett, Sr.; and brother, Larry Lockett, Sr. The radiance of his love, energy, actions, and inner strength will continue to live on in the hearts, minds, and spirits of his loving companion, Barbara Ann Hill-Mesfin; sister, Fannie Lockett Shields; brother, Worthy Lockett; sons, Richard Lockett III and Richard Andrew Lockett; and a host of nieces nephews, and grandchildren. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. funeral hour at the Small's Mortuary Chapel, Mobile, AL. Pastor Marvin Beard officiating. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 SOUTH BROAD ST, MOBILE, AL.
