Obituary for Ruth Butler Pugh

Mrs. Ruth Donella Butler Pugh--a native and resident of Mt. Vernon, AL. born to the late Henry D. and Georgia V. Butler, August 20, 1934 departed this life Saturday, July 11, 2009 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leno Pugh Sr. and grandson, Colby Pugh. She leaves to cherish her memories seven devoted children, Doris J. Pugh, Mt. Vernon, Agnes (Pastor Lester) Bell, Axis, AL., Leno Pugh Jr., Wilsonville, OR., Cathy (Katogdrel) Holloway, Satsuma, Bruce L. Pugh, Mobile, Barbara A. Pugh, Loganville, GA., Kenneth B. Pugh, Mobile, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister, Mayme (Rev. James) Harris, Bridgeport, CT., brother, William Butler, Oakland, CA., aunt, Bessie (John) McNeil, Arlington, TX., uncle, Burrell Bettis, Selma, AL., four godchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and many, many friend. Services will be held Saturday July 18, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour William Chapel Church, Mt. Vernon. Interment will follow in the Roper Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 Broad St. Mobile, AL.
