Obituary for Ruthie Page-Harris

Mrs. Ruthie L. Page Harris-- a native of Linden, AL, and a resident of Mobile for a number of years born July 31, 1932, departed this life Monday, November 2, 2009 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Edmond Harris Jr., father, Mr. Isiah Page, brother, Mr. Johnnie Cunningham, father, mother and sister-in-law, Edmond and Beatrice Harris Sr., Mary Reed. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two sons, Robert (Karen) Blanks, Clinton Township, MI, Van (Wanda) Blanks, Detroit, MI, four daughters, Carol Williams, Taylor, MI, Cerie Blanks, Alecia Harris, Tammy Robinson, all of Mobile, mother, Mrs. Susie M. Chaney, Detroit, MI, two brothers, Roy (Annie) Buxton, Van Cleave, MS, Ray (Willie Mae) Buxton, Ocean Spring, MS, twelve grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, three godchildren, Cornealius and Tranealius Brackett and Cleo (Bessie) Chambers. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, November 6, 2009 from 1-8pm and Saturday, November 7, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Narazee Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane North Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
