Obituary for Samuel Chaney

Mr. Samuel Chaney-- a native of Dixon Mills and resident of Mobile born June 22, 1932 to the late Ola B. Johnson and Leroy Chaney departed this life Sunday, February 22, 2009. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eddie B. Clarke. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of forty-three years, Calean Irvin Chaney, five devoted daughters, Frankie C. Livingston, Eight Mile, Pamela Chaney, Whistler, Sabrenia (Billy) Hillery, Eight Mile, Rose (Henry) Denson, Thomasville and Altonia Irvin, Scotch Plains, NJ., two devoted sons, Rev. Gerald (Patricia) Hayes, Mobile and Charles (Liz) Irvin, Thomasville, eighteen grandchildren, eight devoted, Tyeshia (David III) Tarvin, Artwon (Crystal) Chaney, Dermaine Chaney, Darron Livingston Jr., LaPorsha Livingston, Brittany Chaney, Brineshia Chaney, Brandi Hillery, ten great-grandchildren one devoted David"Puna" Tarvin IV, all of Mobile. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, February 27, 2009 from 1-6pm and Saturday, February 28, 2009 after 10am until the 12noon funeral hour, Rev. Nathaniel Richardson Jr. Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Payne Cemetery, Dixon Mills, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St., Mobile, AL.
