Obituary for Shirley Dickson

Shirley Ann Dickson, born October 9, 1945; affectionately known as "Shellann" by those who knew and loved her, was a native of Choctaw County Alabama and a resident of Mobile. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church (Mobile). She went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonse Dickson and Rosemary Hinton. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Gary (Paulette) Major, Lavone (Shawn) Dickson of Portsmouth, VA and one daughter Nicole (James) White of Humble, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grand son; 7 sisters, Minnie Burton, Diane Burroughs, Willie Mae (Nathaniel) Smith, Brenda Chambers, Rose (Thomas) Marsh, Linda (Charles) Redd and Darlene (Patrick) Burrell all of Mobile, AL; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; 2 devoted friends, Betty Holloway and Elsie Hall. Visitation will be Saturday October 17, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 the funeral hour at Goodwill Ministries 1038 Grant Ave. Prichard AL 36610. Rev Henry J Bogus Officiating Minister. Entrusted to Small's Mortuary.
