Obituary for Traniel James Jones Sr.
Traniel James Jones departed this journey on January 7, 2016 at a local hospital. He was born on March 27, 1949 to the late Irma Lee Jones and Willie Earlie Lewis in Mobile, AL.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Roosevelt Lewis.
He survived by and leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of forty-seven years, Dorothy Lymos Jones; two sons, Traniel Jones, Jr. and Marcus (Ebonee) Jones; three daughters, Jacqueline Todd, Jennifer (Lonnie) Rivers and Traneisia Jones; four brothers, eight sisters; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
His remains will lie in state on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 11am until the 1pm funeral hour at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1012 Adam St. Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.
