Obituary for Vernett M Davis

Vernett Murphy Davis was born November 22, 1958 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Samuel and Yvonne Murphy, Sr. Vernett was called home on September 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband of 27 years, Earsell Davis, III; two sons, Jamel Murphy, Atlanta, GA and Earsell Davis, IV, Mobile, AL; a step-daughter, Dierdre Tyus, Tallahassee, FL; one granddaughter, Chole Murphy; one brother, Samuel (Adrienne) Murphy, Jr., both of Mobile, AL; father and mother-in-law, Earsell and Daisy Davis, Jr.; god-daughter, Earlene Brown, all of Mobile, AL; two sisters-in-law, Janice Hardin, Montgomery, AL and Stephanie Davis, Katy, TX. Her remains will lie in state on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 12pm until the 2pm funeral hour St. Paul AME Church, 1255 Rev. A.T. Days St. Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL’S MORTUARY, 950 SOUTH BROAD ST. MOBILE, AL, 36603.
