Obituary for WAYNE KIDD

Wayne Anderson Kidd, age 62, born December 22, 1948, a native of Mobile, AL and a longtime resident of Indianapolis, IN died on September 5, 2011, at an Indiana Hospital. Mr. Kidd was a 1966 graduate of Central High School. Wayne accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a child and was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church #2 under the leadership of Rev J. B. Weaver. After relocating to Indiana, he joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church under Christian experience. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Gloria (Young); daughter, Kimberly Ann; son, Wayne Jr. (Shamaka); grandson, Borom bks Ihsan; parents, Torry Sr. and Lydia (Stallworth) Kidd of Mobile, AL; brothers, Anthony (Marilyn) of Williamsport, PA, Torry (Martha), Winston (Lynn), Arnold ( Constance), Amos (Mary), Mark (Sharon), Phillip (Betty); sisters, Christine K. Mitchell, Donna F. Kidd and Beverly K. Burden, all of Mobile, AL; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Henley (James) of Dayton, OH, Loretta Young; brothers-in-law, James (Gloria) Young Jr. and Freddie Young all of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Small?s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held Monday, September 12, 2011 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, No. 2, 251 North Lafayette Street, Mobile, AL with Pastor Hubert Baker officiating. The interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
