Obituary for Willie Haynes

Willie Berk Haynes-- a native of York, AL., and a resident of Mobile and a former resident of New Orleans, LA., was born to the union of the late Berk and Beatrice Haynes, on January 27, 1935. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church (Down The Bay). He was educated in the Public School System. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. A retiree of A&P Warehouse, New Orleans, where he served diligent for thirty years. He leaves to cherish his memories daughter, Cathey Haynes, two grandchildren, Quincy and Ashley Haynes, all of Jacksonville, AL., brother, Spark Haynes, Asheville, NC., two sisters, Mary Haynes- Hickman and Barbara (Cornelius) Edwards, both of Mobile, aunt, Iwillita Brown, Pensacola, FL., brother and sister-in-law, Edward Merrick, New Orleans, and Catherins Graves, Detroit, MI., devoted cousin, Willie Mae Hawkins, Prichard, Al. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Thursday, March 12, 2009 after 10am until the 12noon funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL. 36603
