Obituary for Willie Scott

Willie Kate Scott, a native of Greenville, Ala., and a resident of Mobile, died Monday. She was 70. She was a member of Greater Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Senior Usher Board. She is survived by a son, Michael Scott; two daughters, Diane Scott Jackson and Eartha Scott, all of Mobile; seven sisters, Annie Ruth Smith of Fort Deposit, Ala., Evelyn Powell of Greenville, Ala., Ruddy D. Jenkins of Fort Deposit, Louise Hamilton of Greenville, Reba M. Lee of Chattanooga, Tenn., Geraldine McPherson of Fort Deposit and Willie Pearl Bogan of Greenville; five brothers, Ed Smith Jr. of Greenville, Joeseipha Smith of Montgomery, John H. Smith of Mobile, Rex Smith of Greenville and Charles Bogan of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Small's Mortuary, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Greater Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
