Bro. Willie Murphy Smith, Jr. "June" passed away on January 8, 2016. he was preceded in death by his parents, Dea. Willie M Smith, Sr. and Sis. Willie Lee Smith and sister, Annie Bell James.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Yvonne E. Smith; one daughter, Ebony (Matthew) Matlock; two sons, Paul Ruffin and Jairus Richardson; three grandchildren, Esquire and Essence Evans and Madison Matlock; one sister, Jacquelyn White; five brothers, Ceasar Sr., Jimmie, Percy (Doldlan) Odell and James Smith; seven sisters-in-law, Zelma Ross; Shirley (Clifton) Morris; six brothers-in-law, Charles (Patricia), Joseph (Linda) Robert Lee, Eddie (Loretta) and Kenneth (Pamela) Richardson; one uncle, Sim Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His remains will lie in state on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Small's Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from the 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at Amity Missionary Baptist Church, 2451 St. Stephens Road, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight, Mile, AL.
