Obituary for Willie Bill Steele Steele

Willie Benjamin Steele, Sr., "Bill Steele" - a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, was born on November 1, 1930 in Atmore, AL, and departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2010. Willie was a faithful member of St. James Baptist Church where he was a member of the Mass Choir and the Male Chorus. He retired from Scott Paper Company and was a loyal employee of Mobile Parks and Recreation Centers for many years. He sang with the Cleveland Smith Chorale and was a faithful member of the Mobile and Washington County Male Chorus for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Small, father, Eric Riley, brother, Bubba Riley, sister, Helen Carver, sons, Rickey Steele and Ronnie Steele. He leaves to cherish is memories one brother, Fred Riley of Port Arthur, TX; three children, Cynthia (Paul) Jones of Trenton, NJ, Willie Steele, Jr., and Tara (Kendrick) Mackie, both of Mobile, AL; 3 step children, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and many loyal and devoted friends. Visitation 9:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral hour at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 2846 St. James Circle, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, Theodore, AL.
