Obituary for Willie Ward

Willie Ward, Sr. a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL was born March 16, 1920 passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. He was a faithful member of Emanuel AME Church, a retired Air Craft Mechanic and a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp (WWII).

He is survived by a loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Juanita Robinson Ward; one daughter, Renetta Ward Battles; two sons, Willie Ward, Jr. and Harold Ward; one sister, Pearl M. Rose; step daughter and caregiver, Angela Brown; one stepson, TSGT Jeremery (Michell) Robinson; seven grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


His remains will lie in state on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Emanuel AME Church, 654 St. Michael St. Mobile, AL. Interment will be held at 12am on Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Alabama Stet Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL.
