Obituary for Wilson Carter Jr.

Bro Wilson "Brother" Carter, Jr.-- 64 a native and resident of Grand Bay, AL, born to the late Wilson and Helen Carter Sr., exchanged life for eternity, Sunday, October 11, 2009 at a local hospital. Bro. Carter was a member of Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church. In 2003 Bro. Carter answered his call to the ministry. A retiree of Northrop Grumman after fourteen years of service. He was preceded in death by his sister, three brothers and three grandsons. He leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing a loving and devoted wife, Geraldine Carter, Grand Bay, seven daughters, Willanetta (Ray) Mauldin, Mobile, Carol Walker, CA, Carla Ezell, Grand Bay, Gale (Terrance) Forrest, Jacksonville, FL, Linda Carter and Regina (Elisha) Cunningham, both of Moss Point, MS, and Willameina Pettway, Grand Bay, four sons, John Dale (Yolanda) Carter, Pascagula, MS, Brian Moody, Wilson III, and Xavier Carter, all of Grand Bay, seven sisters, eight brothers, eighteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nine god children, three god sisters, father-in-law, three aunts, nine sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, many other relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Little Rock A.M.E. Church, 10100 Fernland Rd. Grand Bay, Rev. Rosa McCoy, Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Fernland Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 7000 Bellingrath Rd. Theodore , AL.
