Winston Smith "Wimp" - A native and life long resident of Mobile, AL. Was born on May 22, 1956 and departed this life on Monday, January 18, 2010. He was a member of Everlasting Life Holiness Church of Prichard. He leaves to cherish his memories, two devoted sons, Winston Franks and Justin Franks, both of Mobile, AL; loving mother, Claudia Smith of Mobile, AL; one devoted brother, Col. Ret. Willie J. (Patricia) Smith, Jr., of Fayette, GA; six devoted sisters, Margaret (Paul) Semelfort of Brooklyn, NY, Sylvia Smith Rosie Smith (James) Blake, Angela (Darryl) Simmons, Jean (Gary) Hudson, all of Mobile, AL, Tamonica Smith of Marietta, GA; a devoted friend, Cynthia Franks of Mobile, AL; nine aunts; one uncle and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends devoted, Levon McMillian, Tommy, Eric and Lois Thompson, and James Lee, Sr., His remains will lie in state on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 1PM until 8PM and Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 9AM until the 11AM funeral hour at Second Baptist Church, 911 South Broad Street, Mobile, AL. Bishop Joseph Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.
