Obituary for Yvonne Mathew Thomas
Yvonne Matthew Thomas, 83, of Mobile, AL, passed away on May 28, 2018 at a local hospital.
She was born in Mobile, AL to the late Ester Lee Matthews and Shedrick Matthews on August 7, 1935. She was raised from an early age by a loving and devoted grandmother, Laura Virginia Drake. She was a faithful member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church, where she served in the Lady’s Auxiliary, before she became ill. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for various Hospitals in the Mobile Area for 25 years.
Yvonne Thomas is survived by a daughter: Delcine Thomas King (Jerome); two sons: Darryl Vincent Thomas (Linda) and Eric Gerard Thomas: three grandsons: Thomas LeBaron Buchanan, Colin Joseph Buchanan, and Darryl Vincent Thomas, Jr. (Ariane); two granddaughters: Sarisa Louvenia Hall and Stephaine Lauren Thomas; one great-grandson: Everett LeBaron Buchanan.
Memorials may be sent to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 315 Sengstak Street, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held at 9am on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am at the Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
