The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lavon Smith can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: It's been 1 year since you left this earth to be joined with our Heavenly Father and your mamma. I miss our talks and your laugh! I am so sorry for all that transpired on your journey. Honora or rather Dawn did not deserve you and your kind, gentle spirit. You tried to do right by Davonte but they didn't make it easy for you. It takes a Great man to take on parenting another man's child & you were amazing in spite of them both. I pray that you are truly and finally at peace and back up being the horseman you are. I was truly blessed to know you and am so sorry you spent so long with a person that continually tried to tear your family apart. I pray for healing for you family that your memory is honored. Condolence: I've just lost my brother the one that I've known from the beginning, when I was married into the family 23 years ago he would fry fish for me and his brother my husband Carlos and we would play card, having a good time with family and a smile was important to him. I will treasure and never forget those times. I also know that he loved most of all FAMILY, his childrens, Sherri, Tremaine, Nathan and Ejay. He took the role as a father of his live in girl friend's son Devonte wanting to share the meaning of family and love with him. I pray that his time with you will be remembered as someone that cared about you as if you were his own.
