Obituary

Alonzo Yelling, Jr., age 81, transitioned May 25, 2020. A native of
Atmore, Alabama, he was the eldest son and middle child of Alonzo Sr.

In 1958, a “double date” with a friend marked the beginning of a legacy

Mobile in 1975. In 1995, he retired from E.I. Dupont & Co.’s
Agricultural Chemical Plant in Axis, AL. He spent his retirement years
loving and caring for his family, friends, and church. Known as the
“King of All Trades,” he showed his love for others by serving as a
caretaker, the “fry daddy,” the “driver” and “Mr. Fix-it.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Yelling, Sr. and Eunice
Cavanaugh Yelling; sisters: Altheris Yelling McConico, Rosa Yelling
Fogg and Netholia Ann Yelling Plummer; and his brother, Cavanaugh
Yelling, Sr.

My condolences to the family. May the Lord give you peace that surpasses all understanding and comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I can see him smiling down on everyone now. Death leaves heartache no man can heal but LOVE leaves mermoris buried deep in you heart that no one can steal. Keep the faith and continue to stand on His promises! Love Mandi Thomas
