Obituary

Obituary for Thelia Narkeita Bolar

Thelia made a grand entrance into the world, in Prichard, Alabama. She was the seventh of twelve children born in the Bolar household to Rev. Liston & Theresa B. Bolar. She brought much joy to the family. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart does good, like medicine.” Her legacy always included much laughter in the family. Thelia didn’t stop laughing from her birth until her death. She attended the Mobile School System. After a year of college, she joined the U.S. Army and trained as an Air Traffic Controller, serving in that position for 22 years until her retirement.

Thelia was baptized at an early age and spent her formative years at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Prichard, Alabama, along with the Bolar Family. She was passionate about her personal witness of Jesus Christ. She witness to family and friends alike, she wanted them to accept and know Jesus and be filled with the Holy Spirit! Her social media page is lined with many friends saying that she loved, helped, prayed or witness to them. Thelia was very adamant about helping others. There was not a time that someone needed something that she turned them away empty handed or empty hearted. In fact, her house was always full of love, good food and company. If you were downtrodden, sick, hungry or just needed to talk, you went to see or call Thelia, she would welcome you with open arms. Thelia expressed her Christian life and walk with compassion and caring. She gave of herself to her children and other family members; she welcomed many people in her home to live until their situations got better.
Thelia leaves her family to cherish her memories. One son; Julian (Danielle); one daughter: Andrea Hysaw, two granddaughters; Aiyanna Narkeita, Maria Liani. One-grand-son; Lazarus Daniel, Five sisters: Angeloyd B. Fenrick (Joseph), Constance B. Fleming (Ronald), Sheila Bolar, Stephanie B. Hatcher (Douglas), Three brothers: Jerone L. Bolar (Dr. Eleanor), Charles E. Bolar (Sherese) and John Bolar; a beloved cousin, Anna Smith: One uncle; Wallace Bolar, One aunt; Umerline Stanton, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Beloved sisters/friends: Pattie Cake, Ebony & Jean.

Thelia was Pre-deceased by her parents: Liston & Theresa Bolar, siblings: Sarah Bolar-Wilkerson, Liston Bolar, Jr., Lionel Bolar & Jarod Bolar.

We thank God she is resting in His loving care.
Respectfully submitted, The Family

To Constance Fleming and the Bolar Family,
Keeping you close in caring thoughts and prayers. Though your heart must hold deep sadness at the loss of the one you loved, may it also hold the blessings of the life you shared and the love that will always be a part of you. Praying that God will comfort your heart, and uplift your spirit, and carry you through this time of sadness to a place of peace.
With deepest sympathy,

To the Hysaw,Bolar Family,
May you find peace and comfort in the days ahead. She was an awesome sister, wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and was loved by family. Thank you for your service to our country. Rest in God my dear sister. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
